It is pro-war propaganda. It connects emotionally with those who lost their lives. It does not tell us they were part of a criminal enterprise, a war of aggression. They left their bedrooms to go kill people who had done nothing to them. Live by the sword, die by the sword.
Nobody makes emotional appeals about the real victims of the war: the hundreds of thousands of dead Afghans and Iraqis, the wounded, the tortured, the millions who lost their homes and are displaced. We do not want to connect with them emotionally and we prefer that they remain faceless and anonymous “collateral damage” of America’s imperialistic wars.
WHAT TO DO NOW?
